Welcome to the Gilbertville Trailhead. Here we have an interesting piece of history. This is the Gilbertville Train Depot. The Cedar Valley Nature Trail used to be a long stretch of railway.

We have a bulletin board setup outside with a map and important postings.

In the lobby we have a large bulletin board with brochures available along with some food machines. There are also restrooms located in the building. It makes a great rest stop!

While we do not require a trail pass we have converted the old pass registration boxes into trail donation posts. There is one of these located at the Gilbertville Trailhead. These should contain donation envelops where you can make your donation.
