Welcome to the La Porte City Trailhead! This is the third stop on the Black Hawk County area of the Cedar Valley Nature Trail. The LPC Chamber of Commerce has a small shelter setup here feel free to use it. The Aquila directory contains a map of La Porte City with key facilities highlighted on the map.

(Left) The city has also placed restrooms next to the ball diamond, this is also convenient for trail users! (Right) What a beautiful gazebo! This stands right next to the trail and makes a great rest stop.

While we do not require a trail pass we have converted the old pass registration boxes into trail donation posts. There is one of these located at the La Porte Trailhead. These should contain donation envelops where you can make your donation. If you appreciate the trail and wish to see it continue please make a donation.
