At McFarlane Park we have a boat ramp that allows access to the Cedar River. It is conveniently located on the road between the shelter and the picnic area. So if you are looking for a place to get your boat in the water look not further! There is space to leave your vehicle and trailer if you like while you boat. Please be aware the park does close at 10:30 P.M. every evening. Please note that this is NOT a swimming area. There are NO swimming areas in McFarlane Park.

I took these pictures of the river on 03-10-07 interestingly enough not three days earlier the power company had to string a power line across the river when it was still iced over. It's amazing how quickly things can change.
